Last weekend I went to Muvico Movie Theater and saw the movie "Devil". "Devil" came out on September 17th 2010. This movie is a horror/thriller/suspense movie, rated PG-13 for violence, disturbing images, thematic material and some language including sexual references. It is about a group of people that get stuck in an elevator and a numerous of weird events start occurring and people start dying. When I saw the previews on television, I knew it was going to be a good movie but I didn't really understand what it was going to be about, all I knew was that it looked scary and I had to go see it.
The movie had a lot of suspense and it kept me off my seat the whole time. It was not like the typical scary movie that just some random person comes and kills everyone for no reason, for example, Friday the 13th. "Devil" actually had a meaning behind it, every single person that was on that elevator had a reason to be there, for example, the security guard that was there in had been a thug and had killed people. The other people in the elevator had some kind of past too and the devil had takes over the body of one them but no ones knows about it. The other security that is watching them through the cameras tries to communicate with them but the microphone ones works one way so the people in the elevator couldn't talk to the security guards. Out of nowhere the lights in the elevator go on and off and the people in the elevator start getting hurt and start dying. The police starts getting involved because they think that the people in the elevator are killing each other and that one of them is a murder so they try to get the background of everyone in the elevator. At the end we come to find out that one of the people in elevator is involved with the death of the investigator's family.
Do I recommend this movie? YES!! this movie is really good! if you like to be in suspense and like to solve mysteries you should definitely go see it. Even if you don't you should still go see it.

Welcome to the movies!
Ever since I was young, I loved to go and watch movies. Even now, I love to go watch movies with my friends whether its at the theater or at someone's house. What I like is that each movie has a different sound and all types of different graphics that always grabs my eye. What I also really like, its that there are a bunch of categories to choose from, for example, horror, comedy, and romance. My favorite types of movies are horror films and kids films. I love horror films because it keeps you alert of everything that is happening and its always nice to get a couple of screams and jumps once in a while. I also like kids films because it reminds me of my youth and I can always get a good laugh out of them. Most people like action movies because they get to see a lot of shooting, racing, and fires. I believe that it can be interesting watching action movies such as, "Mr. and Mrs. Smith" but I would choose to watch "Up" over it anytime. Other people like romance movies such as, "The Notebook", but to be honest I would choose to watch "Paranormal Activity" instead. Hey, everyone has their different likes and dislikes that appeals to them and makes them who they are.
Ever since I came to USF and moved in to live on campus, I haven't been able to go to the movies or watch any movies with friends. The only movies I have watched so far as been the ones for class in American Studies and the movies are not bad but I wouldn't watch them on my leisure time. I believe that watching movies can be a stress reliever because it keeps the person relax and the mind clear of thoughts. But since I have a lot of homework to do for my classes, I haven't been able to relax with a movie. I am hoping to finish my homework before the weekend this week and maybe go watch the movie "Vampires Suck" or "The A List" or "Devil".
