So who doesn't love Zach Galifianakis? We saw this man in "The Hangover" and he was probably the best and funniest person in the whole movie (besides the naked Chinese guy) that got us laughing with his stupidity of getting roofies and taking care of the baby. Well producers decided to bring him back and put him in the movie "Due Date". "Due Date" came out on November 5th 2010, it is an hour and 40 minutes, and is rater R for language, drug use and sexual content. This movie is about a man named Peter Highman, played by Robert Downey Jr., that is in Atlanta and is trying to catch a plane to get back home to his wife that is about to give birth to his first child. Peter ends up meeting Ethan Tremblay (Zach Galifianakis) in the airport when his drivers takes out the door of Peter's ride. From there is all went downhill. They end up begin in the same plane but neither of them end up in the destination because they were kicked off the plane and were searched by police officers because Ethan decided to say that Peter's phone was some kind of bomb. They end up driving together because Peter leaves his wallet in the plane and Ethan offers him a ride since they were both going to L.A. This ride ends up being cross country road trip with some wild adventures destroying several cars and even ending up on Mexico's border.
"Due Date" is a pretty funny movie and I would recommend to watch if your in a laughing mood. It was rated B as a grade so it is above average. I would not go and see if you expect a lot, it is not a MUST movie so it is smart to wait until it comes out and watch it with friends and someones house.

Saw in 3D
So just when we thought that Saw had finally finished making movies, Saw 3D came out. Saw 3D came out on October 29Th 2010, it is a suspense/horror movie, and it is rated R for sequence of bloody violence and language. The Saw movies has always been gory but I believe that this was probably one of the most gory ones that they have made. I would recommended that you see all the other ones to be able to understand the people and situations that are in this movie, since it is a sequel. All The Saw movies had to do with people being kidnapped and being put to the test of survival because they had done something wrong in their life. The test that they were put to were pretty ridiculous for example, being stuck in a room with your foot chained up and to be able to get out, you would have to cut your foot off with a saw. Another example is digging in your eye to get a key out to open something that would kill you in a minute. This last one was somewhat the same, except that it had to do more with people from the movies before and this one guy that was put to the test. This guy, Bobby, was put to the test because he said that he was a survivor of Jigsaw's game and help people that had also been through the torture. Bobby became famous and went on TV shows and talked about his experience, this was all lies, he had never been in the game so jigsaw puts his in the game. In this game he has to try and save his lawyer, co-worker, best friend, and wife. Does he save them all? Well that's for you to find out.
This was Saw was not their best one and I don't think is that great to watch because I fell like they ran out of ideas. But if you really want to go ahead is that too bad.

Paranormal Activity
Last night, well this morning, I actually went to go see paranormal activity 2. I am sure everyone has heard of the movie Paranormal Activity, most has gone to see it and most were waiting for the second one to come out. Well I am not going to talk about the second one because yall have to go see yourselves but yall know the theme of a demon being in the house and how it tries to possess the girl. Well the second one has the same idea but it has a bit of a twist to it because events start happening during the day also, not just the night. This movie is pretty scary and would definitely recommend watching it, especially at the theater, unless you got some good surround sound at your house. The second movie does have to do a little with the first one because it actually happens before so if you can watch the first one if you haven’t already done so.
Well, in Paranormal Activity (the first one), it is about a couple, Katie and Micah, that have just moved in into a suburban tract home. After a couple of days of moving in they start getting disturbed by what appears to be a supernatural presence. Since Micah is into cameras he decides to buy a camera and haves it on through the whole moving hoping to get some evidence of the haunting on film. What they did not expect to capture were some terrifying occurrences. These events mostly happened at 3 A.M and it just starts by them hearing footsteps and hearing noises downstairs but every time Micah went down to see what is going on, he would find something moving. From there on it gets intense on how the demon even grabs Katie by her leg and drags her. Katie explains how even when she was little her and her sister used to be scared at nights because they felt something was haunting them and it seemed like it had came back for her. At the end, she becomes possessed and kills Micah and nothing is known from her. I personally think the first one was scarier than the second one but you guys tell me your opinions.

Are you crazy?
A lot of people had told me about the movie “The Crazies” and how it was so good and scary and that I should go see it so I did. It was definitely not what I expected to see for such a great movie. It was like the movie “I am Legend” where there is a disease and people start going crazy and start killing people. So for those who have not seen this movie, it came out on February 26, 2010 and is rated R for bloody violence and language. Now let me tell you guys a little more of the background of it. David Dutten is the sheriff of a town called Ogden Marsh; this town is a nice little town with happy citizens (nothing new right?). It all started one day during a school baseball game, a man comes with a loaded shotgun. Then, another man locked his wife and young son in the closet and burnt down his whole house. Within days, the whole town was transformed into an asylum; people who once had lived like normal people were turned into blood-thirsty killers that would hide in the darkness with guns and knives. The government soon got involved and the separated the infected people with the non-infected people and put them in different areas with the tension of killing everyone. At the end the come to find out that the airplane that had fallen in the river had contaminated the river, so everyone that had drank water that came from that river had become infected with this weird disease. The government wanted to kill everyone because since this was such a small town, no one would know if something happened to it and the government didn’t want this crazy news going into other towns just because of their mistake. Not only is this movie like another “I am Legend” were some random disease comes and kills everyone but like the movie “The Happening” where the plants kill people. It has to do with nature and diseases killing the human race. To those who have seen this what you think of this movie?

whats up with that?
So I noticed that most of the horror movies that are out or are coming out soon are about demons, whats up with that? Like is there nothing really else that they can think of? I remember that back in the old days we had pretty good scary movies that didn't have to do with the devil or demons such as "The Boogeyman" which was just a part of your imagination but still creep you out. Or the "Nightmare of Elm Street" even though it wasn't the movie wasn't really scary, just the fact that you couldn't get away from Freddy because he was in your dreams and there was nothing you could do about it, would just freak me out. Also, ghost movie just has "Thirteen Ghosts" which were some good movies that would just keep you thinking and off your seat, specially when you're 12. But now, it was about demons and being possessed which can be freaky because that can actually happen to people like the movie "The exercism of Emily Rose" which was based on a true story. But now, they just think about some stupid things that make us say "really? you didn't see that coming?" I saw the movie "Case 39" which just came out on Oct. 1th 2010. It is about this lady, Emily, that works as a family services social worker that gets a case of a 10-year old, Lilith, which supposedly gets abused by her parents. Emily really gets into this case and decides to talk to the Lilith more and give her her number to call if she ever needs her. One night the little girl calls Emily and tells her that she needs help, so Emily drives to her house with her friend so help, and find her parents putting her in the oven trying to burn her to death. Lilith is taken away from her parents and Emily decides to take her in until the right foster family comes along, this is when Emily sees that Lilith is not the little innocent girl that she seems...
Friends of Emily is start dying out of a sudden and they all relate with Lilith some way or another. We come to find out that Lilith is a little demon child and has special powers to kill people. Emily tries to get help from Lilith parents by visiting them at the asylum but Lilith ends up killing them too, her only help. Do I recommend this movie? Enh not really is it kind of stupid but everyone as their own opinions

"Kids"
A few days ago, I decided to watch the movie “Kids” for the ENC 1102 Project 2 on Rogerian Argument because I feel that this movie involves a lot of controversial issues. This movie came out in July 1995, rated NC-17, about one hour and 30 minutes long, is rated B+ by the critics, it is drama genre, and was directed by Larry Clark, who also directed “Wassup Rockers” (2006), “Destricted” (2005), and others. Well this movie is about a 17 year old skateboarder named Telly, who lives only to get laid. Telly lives in a community with poverty and bad parenting, which makes him do whatever he wants. With no one watching over him, he goes around deflowering 14 year old girls just for pleasure. Him and his friend Casper walk around New York and steal from stores buy and smoke weed with their other buddies and even beat up some random guy with their skateboards just because the guy got in Casper’s way. While all this is going on, one of the girls that Telly slept with in the past, name Jennie, went and got tested for HIV and her results came out positive. Jennie goes looking for Telly the whole movie to tell him and also to stop him from being able to pass it to someone else. Jennie ends up going to a club that Telly was suppose to go to and takes some pills from her friend and starts to feel out of it. At this time Telly was sweet talking to another girl that he wants to get with and goes to his friend’s party with her. At that party, everyone is underage drinking and even 10 years old are smoking weed on the couch. Once Jennie gets to the party she finds Telly having unprotected sex with a girl. Jennie ends up passing out on the couch and Casper ends up raping her. By the end of the movie five people end up HIV positive with only one person knowing it.
This movie can have a very strong message because it shows controversial issues that are still happening in America, such as, bad parenting, living with HIV, rape, underage drinking, and taking drugs. Some people think this movie is too strong but I believe that the truth should never be sugar coated.

"Devil"
Last weekend I went to Muvico Movie Theater and saw the movie "Devil". "Devil" came out on September 17th 2010. This movie is a horror/thriller/suspense movie, rated PG-13 for violence, disturbing images, thematic material and some language including sexual references. It is about a group of people that get stuck in an elevator and a numerous of weird events start occurring and people start dying. When I saw the previews on television, I knew it was going to be a good movie but I didn't really understand what it was going to be about, all I knew was that it looked scary and I had to go see it.
The movie had a lot of suspense and it kept me off my seat the whole time. It was not like the typical scary movie that just some random person comes and kills everyone for no reason, for example, Friday the 13th. "Devil" actually had a meaning behind it, every single person that was on that elevator had a reason to be there, for example, the security guard that was there in had been a thug and had killed people. The other people in the elevator had some kind of past too and the devil had takes over the body of one them but no ones knows about it. The other security that is watching them through the cameras tries to communicate with them but the microphone ones works one way so the people in the elevator couldn't talk to the security guards. Out of nowhere the lights in the elevator go on and off and the people in the elevator start getting hurt and start dying. The police starts getting involved because they think that the people in the elevator are killing each other and that one of them is a murder so they try to get the background of everyone in the elevator. At the end we come to find out that one of the people in elevator is involved with the death of the investigator's family.
Do I recommend this movie? YES!! this movie is really good! if you like to be in suspense and like to solve mysteries you should definitely go see it. Even if you don't you should still go see it.
